ABSTRACT: We have successfully shown that readily availablevinyl dibromides in combination with copper catalysisare especially effi cient and useful reagents for thealkynylation of benzimidazoles and indazoles. This processallows the direct and straightforward synthesis of a varietyof heterocyclic ynamines, which are otherwise diffi cult toaccess and which may provide interesting platforms indrug discovery and material science as well.
